CSA Rating Certificate

Your boat must have a valid 2008 CSA digital rating certificate. Even if you just had your boat measured in 2007 it must be checked by a CSA Measurer and reissued. This takes very little time. CSA rating certificates are validated by CSA Measurers using an online rating program. Only these digitally certified certificates are considered valid. Please have this taken care of before coming to registration. CSA rating certificate changes will only be approved in accordance with the amendment to Rule A.3.4.2. of the CSA Rating Rule, which can be found on their website listed below.

Live-aboard and Cruising boats without a valid CSA digital rating certificate may elect to sail in the Open Class under the Simplified CSA Rating Rule. These boats do not need to be measured. Filling out a simple form is all that is required. The idea behind this 'open class' is to allow live-aboard cruising boats to join the fun. It is not intended for boats that do a fair amount of racing nor for high performance boats.

If you need your boat measured please contact Alfred Koolen by phone: (599) 557-7809 (St. Maarten) or via email: Koolen@caribserve.net

The division between classes will be announced at Sunday Oct 8th 15:00 hrs. Written requests for Redress on ratings and class division will be received till 16:00 hrs and be considered by the RC. The RC decision on this Redress will be announced not later than 20:00 hrs. This decision will be final.
